Are you excited by the prospect of developing creative communications that impact the customer experience? Reporting to the Director, Customer Experience, you will lead a team in crafting and implementing all internal marketing and merchandising and store set up communications. You will collaborate with our merchandising, marketing, visual merchandising and store planning teams to develop product placement communications for the period (monthly) story. You will promote communications excellence and innovation within our retail network by designing, delivering, and evaluating communications initiatives that support our goals, strategy, corporate culture, and values.

What’s the role about?

Communication and Publication

Thoroughly understand all marketing and merchandising strategies and the production process to ensure that the strategy and creative material for retail communications is delivered effectively, on time and on budget

Collaborate cross-divisionally with stakeholders to define communication direction, assemble content, and meet deadline for deliverable distribution to retail network, maximizing cross-divisional partnerships to enhance communications strategy

Act as a resource for general inquiries for head office and retail network related to marketing and merchandising communications and content

Provide guidance and support to marketing and merchandising staff

Project Management

Design overall communications content and oversee project management and scheduling for the delivery of all communication tools and deliverables to retail network

Ensure strategy and creative material is delivered on time and budget and is aligned to marketing and merchandising strategies and production process

Build and execute a roadmap to digitize tools, communications, and training deliverables

Evaluate and determine scope and requirements for communication to retail network about merchandising and marketing programs

Innovation

Develop and maximize innovative communication solutions and tools to ensure the effective execution of marketing and merchandising programs at Retail

Leverage technology and cross-divisional collaboration to elevate communications and deliver increased value to retail and external business partners

What will you bring to the team?

Expertise in developing and implementing merchandising communications projects, usually obtained through a combination of work experience in a corporate communication, technical writing, marketing, visual merchandising, or retail environment combined with related post-secondary education.

Track record of communicating well, prioritizing work and making sound decisions on daily operational issues.

A mentor and coach to others, with a talent for managing cross-departmental relationships.

Deep understanding and knowledge of graphic design and various media including print, presentations and electronic broadcast.

Innovation and vision to elevate initiatives and strategies with a determination to execute effectively.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational and project management skills, with ability to meet challenging deadlines.

Experience with software applications, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Photoshop.

Experience with e-learning software and design (Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate and Trivantis Lectora) and Learning Management System (LMS).

A valid driver’s license with access to an automobile.

Flexible hours required to meet the needs of a given project or event.

Familiarity with AGCO Directives and Liquor License and Control Acts is an asset.
